The Brainerd Lakes Region Community Foundation is sponsoring the State of the Lakes Region from 2-4:40 p.m. June 17 at the Gull Lake Sailing School.
Seasonal and year-round residents are invited to witness and hear first-hand what is happening in the Brainerd Lakes area. It will be followed by the Gull Lake Sailing School’s annual opening party.
Local leaders of key organizations presenting on topics affecting our quality of life will include: the National Loonie Center on Building Progress; Crow Wing County Update; GCOLA on the health of lakes and rivers in the region; Brainerd Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce updates and summer activity schedules; Essentia Health System and Cuynua Regional Medical Center on local health care services; Lakes Area Music Festival on the upcoming summer concert series; Gull Lake trail updates; WonderTrek Children’s Museum; Brainerd Family YMCA and Mount Ski Gull summer activities; and Karl Samp of the Brainerd Lakes Area Community Foundation will share information about charitable giving opportunities and how the foundation strengthens the community, especially around Gull Lake. Additionally, these and other organizations may have an exhibit table and attendees can check out additional activities and request further information.
