Samsung Galaxy Fold receives May 2022 security update in the US

A few days ago, Samsung released its latest security patch for the international versions of the Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Z Flip. Now, the carrier-unlocked variant of the Galaxy Fold has started receiving the May 2022 security update in the United States.

The latest software update for the Galaxy Fold in the United States comes with the firmware version F900U1UES6HVD2. It includes the May 2022 security patch that fixes dozens of known privacy and security vulnerabilities. It may also include general bug fixes and stability improvements. Other markets may get this update in the coming days.

If you are a Galaxy Fold user in the United States with a carrier unlocked version, you can download and install the latest software update by going to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.

Samsung had launched the Galaxy Fold in the second half of 2019 with Android 9 on board. The foldable phone received the Android 10 update in early 2020, the Android 11 update in early 2021, and the Android 12 update earlier this year.
